The Rhône-Alpes-Auvergne region and more particularly the city of Lyon are famous for the quality of their gastronomy. In addition to hosting famous wine regions such as Beaujolais (Moulin-à-Vent, Juliénas etc.), Rhône (with Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie, Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph…) or Savoie and Auvergne.
In short, this vast region offers a multitude of specialities and other traditional (and convivial) dishes such as the famous Cantal cheese, Aubrac beef, Savoyard fondue, tartiflette, fourme d’Ambert, diots, ravioles du Dauphiné, green lentils from Le Puy, reblochon, nougat from Montélimar… in short, there are hundreds of them!
Lyon… the city of Paul Bocuse is considered as a world capital of food and gastronomy. It is particularly renowned for the quality of its bouchons (a typical local bistro). As far as local specialities are concerned, Lyon has a lot to offer: local sausages, fish quenelles poached and served with a sauce, bugnes (small pieces of dough, twisted and fried in hot oil like doughnuts, then sprinkled with sugar) or the brioche sausage.

Why this map?
We are a team of wine lovers which also means epicureans. During our various trips to the vineyards of the world, we had the opportunity to lunch or dine at the tables of outstanding chefs. We, therefore, wanted to highlight those who offer remarkable cuisine but who have also taken the step of creating a “genuine” wine list.
