Puglia, an Italian region located in the extreme south of the Italian boot, offers a cuisine of the sea and the earth. Each ingredient is used to enhance the dishes often accompanied by many vegetables. The latter can also be cooked alone as “primi piatti” such as eggplant, turnip greens, cabbage, artichokes but also legumes, beans and broad beans.
Among the most typical dishes is the “Orecchiette with horse meat stew”.

Sicily, the largest Mediterranean island, is a volcanic land but also a land of contrast between the paradisiacal seaside and the much colder inland. Throughout its rich history, it has been occupied by many powers. This richness is reflected in its cuisine.
A fertile land, Sicily offers recipes with strong flavors, very varied, with many aromatic herbs. The main products such as oranges, lemons but also almonds, prickly pears, pistachio and olives are often found in the dishes. Among the most famous dishes are the Sicilian cassata, the caponata, the Sicilian cannoli, the panelle of Palermo or the arancini. Naturally, there is a lot of fish but, unlike the rest of Italy, very little cheese. This can be explained by the fact that Sicilian cuisine is a “poor” cuisine (in the sense that it uses inexpensive ingredients) and that cheese was long considered a luxury product…
In short, as you will see, we eat deliciously well in Sicily!

Why this map?

We are a team of wine lovers which also means epicureans. During our various trips to the vineyards of the world, we had the opportunity to lunch or dine at the tables of outstanding chefs. We, therefore, wanted to highlight those who offer remarkable cuisine but who have also taken the step of creating a “genuine” wine list.
