Open Days for Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux Wine appellation
On September 5 & 6 2015 fifteen wineries located in AOC Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux open their doors and their bottles. On the occasion of these two days of discovery/tastings many activities will be offered by winemakers: ludic workshops, rural hiking and “lunches with winemakers”…
“This year, our winemakers were present to organize a festive weekend around the appellation’s products. The Open Day is a great opportunity to highlight both the richness of our wines as our heritage.” (Françoise Lannoye, President of Wines of Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux)
This year the participant wineries will be open all weekend from 10am to 7pm. They offer a wide selection of activities / events: classified garden tour, musical entertainment, exhibition of paintings, walks in the vineyards …
A “champêtre” lunch will also take place on Sunday from 12:30 at Château Pitray with the program: local farmers market to compose his lunch, wine courses with a trainer from the Ecole du Vin de Bordeaux, entertainment for children (creation labels, grape juice tasting, aromas games) … all in a festive jazzy atmosphere !
This year for the first time gourmet walks (by foot, horseback and by bike) with stops / tastings “food and wine” in the Château will also be proposed on Sunday morning.
A varied program that focuses on conviviality, meetings and sharing with the winemakers of the appellation …. You can find the brochure including the program, list of participants and their wineries coordinated here.
