Château Dassault unveils an anniversary magnum designed by Coline Gaulot
The Saint-Émilion estate has released a limited edition of 500 magnums of its 2023 vintage. The label, created by artist Coline Gaulot, draws on the estate’s history and its enduring symbols.
To mark 70 years since Marcel Dassault acquired the estate, Château Dassault commissioned Coline Gaulot to design a label for an anniversary magnum. The release comprises 500 numbered and signed bottles of the 2023 vintage. Available from the estate since September 2026 at €129 including tax (French price), it is being presented ahead of the festive season.
Gaulot has drawn the label in a single continuous line, linking the château with a series of botanical motifs. The magnolia recalls the tree that, according to the estate, captivated Marcel Dassault when he first encountered the property in 1955. A clover represents luck and longevity, while a vine leaf anchors the story in the vineyard. Silver detailing traces the line’s movement and evokes the passing of knowledge between generations.

The wine selected for this release comes from the northern side of the Saint-Émilion appellation. A blend of 73% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, Château Dassault 2023 was made from hand-picked grapes selected by density sorting and transferred to vat by gravity. Depending on the parcel, maturation lasted 12 to 16 months, using new barrels, large oak casks, stainless-steel vats and amphorae. The vintage also benefited from the winery commissioned in 2022 and the expertise of oenologist Thomas Duclos. In its own tasting description, the estate highlights black and red fruit, floral and spicy nuances, fine tannins, saline freshness and a persistent finish.
Beyond its collectable presentation, the magnum connects two chapters in the estate’s story: Marcel Dassault’s arrival in Saint-Émilion and the choices shaping its winemaking today.
