Wy’East – Syrah 2013 – Columbia Valley

The nose is aromatic and relatively powerful. It reveals notes of black tea and black berries associated with a few slight notes of dried strawberry / dried fruits, berries, spices and a touch of Sichuan pepper. After oxygenation there are a few touches of lavender. The palate is fruity, mineral, fresh and well-balanced. On the palate this wine expresses notes of plum, cherry, black fruit jam and strawberry combined with a touch of mocha, chocolate as well as touches of coconut / vanilla. Good length.
