Weinhofmeisterei – Kollmitz 2015 Riesling Smaragd – Wachau

The nose is fresh, fruity, captivating, aromatic, racy and offers a fine intensity / richness and good finesse. It reveals fine notes of quince and white fruits (apple, brugnon) combined with fine hints of exotic fruits, honey and discreet hints of spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, straight, fine, racy, precise, elegant, mineral, delicate and offers tension, a beautiful minerality, a nice definition, a nice fat and a slight unctuosity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of ripe lemon and fine notes of apple, crushed white fruits combined with a discreet hint of zest, a subtle hint of honey, sweet spices as well as a very discreet toasted hint and an imperceptible hint of almond. Good length and aromatic persistence.
