Weingut Malat Grüner Veltliner Ried Leukuschberg 1ÖTW Kremstal DAC 2019

The wine shows a bright and vivid golden-straw colour. The nose is intense and smoky with nuances of ripe pear, Golden apple, grapefruit, touches of sweet baking spices, a delicate hint of iodine. The palate is round and smooth with balanced acidity and a dense, almost phenolic texture. The wine is packed with salinity and minerality, made a Burgundy-like style, but keeping the unmistakable Grüner Veltliner identity. The palate reveals nuances of ripe yellow apple, lemon zest, pomelo, oyster shells against a smoky backdrop. The finish is dense and saline. Delicious!
