Warrick – 2012 Reserve – Red Wine – Applegate Valley

The nose is aromatic, well-balanced, gourmand and offers a fine concentration and a fine straightness. It reveals notes of fleshy / crushed cassis and fine touches of cherry, blackberry associated with touches of strawberry jelly, touches of chocolate, coffee as well as very discreet hints of caramelization and hazelnut. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a nice mineral frame, a fine acidity, a nice fat, a good definition, straightness, finesse, a small aerial aspect and a fine tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe black cherry, fleshy cassis and fine touches of red cherry associated with a touch of crushed strawberry, fine / discreet touches of chocolate, licorice / zan and subtle / imperceptible touches of flowers (in the background). Tannins are well-built and very discreetly firm. Good length.
