Villa San Carlo 2015 – Amarone della Valpolicella

The nose is fruity and offers a fine intensity, elegance as well as a good definition and a beautiful fine grain. It reveals notes of bright blackberry, lily, small notes of bright plum associated with touches of bright strawberry, juicy/ripe fig as well as hints of tonka bean, sweet spices, cardamom, a discreet hint of sense of the place (local biotope), black olive and an imperceptible hint of vanilla pod. The palate is fruity, mineral, elegant and offers a beautiful definition, precision, a fine aerial side, a beautiful definition as well as a beautiful freshness, a small suavity and finesse. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright blackberry, bright violet plum, small notes of fleshy/juicy raspberry associated with a small touch of juicy/pulpy cassis, lily, violet as well as hints of nutmeg, toasted, tonka bean, discreet hints of sweet spices. Tannins are elegant and well-built. Good length.
