Vallepicciola 2015 – Chianti Classico

The nose is gourmand, fleshy, fruity and ripe. It reveals notes of crushed blueberry, jammy wild strawberry and crushed redcurrant combined with small notes of vanilla bean, toasted oak as well as a hint of tonka bean, flowers and subtle touches of grove. (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a pretty acid frame, a nice definition, a good guideline as well as juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe redcurrant, ripe cassis, crushed wild strawberry and crushed blueberry combined with small notes of olive / grove, wood, vanilla as well as a discreet hint of cocoa. Tannins are fine and a bit grainy. Good length.
