V. Vinyards – Audace 2015 – Napa Valley

The nose is aromatic and offers a slight concentration as well as a slight minerality. It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry and wild strawberry associated with touches of violet, licorice, gray pepper as well as discreet toasted hints (in the background) and a very discreet hint of blue fruits. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful minerality, a good definition, a good structure, a very slight freshness as well as a slight concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, crushed cassis and small notes of plum associated with touches of juicy / ripe red fruits, wild black berries, gray pepper as well as slight hints of liquorice, tobacco and an imperceptible touch of espresso. Tannins are fine, a bit chewy. Good length.
