Tawse Winery, Chardonnay Icewine 2013 Niagara Peninsula, Ontario

Tawse Winery, Chardonnay Icewine 2013 Niagara Peninsula, Ontario

This is the second vintage of Chardonnay icewine produced by Tawse, the first being in 2008. It’s been aged for 12 months in 100% new large oak barrels. The result is a rich and unusual icewine with notes of vanilla, apple pie, apricot, honey, beeswax and apparent oak. It’s highly aromatic with a vibrant acidity as well as a waxy finish.
