Stefania Pepe – Contro Guerra 2016 – Montepulciano d’Abruzzo

The nose is aromatic and offers a slight power. It reveals notes of blackberry, undergrowth and small notes of quite ripe small red fruits associated with touches of truffle and ceps. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, gourmandize, a small roundness as well as a certain tension and precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed fruit, crushed redcurrant and small notes of undergrowth, truffle associated with touches of crushed blackberries, bright small fruits as well as hints of camphor, tapenade and discreet hints of tobacco. Supple, racy and sapid tannins. Good length. Minerality and freshness.
