Silverado Vineyards – Mt George Vineyard – Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 – Napa Valley

(94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot) The nose is relatively fine and fruity. It reveals notes of strawberry, ripe fruit and slight notes of cassis associated with slight notes of red currant, rose, cedar as well as small notes of red bell pepper. The palate is fat, round, ample, suave and offers small minerality, a nice silky / harmonious matter and a fruity / acid frame. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, Quetsche plum, cassis and strawberry associated with a few notes of licorice, oaky notes as well as small notes of vanilla. Tannins are fine and slightly firm. Good length.
