Roberto Sarotto – Currà 2013, Riserva – Barbaresco

Roberto Sarotto – Currà 2013, Riserva – Barbaresco

The nose is aromatic, elegant and offers a very slight intensity, delicacy and a small complexity. It reveals notes of blackberry, coffee and small notes of small red fruits (raspberry, cherry) and red berries associated with slight hints of spices, scrubland as well as very discreet hints of liquorice and tobacco . The palate is fruity, soft, suave, well-balanced, slightly tight and offers gourmandise as well as a mineral frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy / juicy blackberry, fleshy blueberry and small notes of crushed raspberry associated with small touches of crushed red berries, hints of tonka bean, chocolate as well as discreet hints of caramelization, cardamom and an imperceptible hint of black olive (in the background). Tannins are well-built, very slightly firm and powdered. There are a hint of hazelnut and almond on the persistence / aftertaste (brings gourmandise as well as a slight chew).
