Rizzi – Rizzi 2015 – Barbaresco 

The nose offers power, a slight richness, a beautiful finesse of the grain as well as elegance. It reveals notes of boysenberry and small wild black fruits associated with touches of wild cassis, red fruits associated with small touches of iris, cornflowers, Cuben pepper as well as discreet hints of spices. The palate is fruity, mineral, fresh, well-balanced and offers a beautiful tannic structure, a beautiful precision, elegance, a beautiful juiciness, finesse, a slight straightness as well as a slight acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, crunchy wild cassis and small notes of red berries associated with discreet hints of flowers, spices and tonka bean. The finish is slightly powdered. There are discreet hints of camphor, toasted, nutmeg and Sichuan pepper on the finish/persistance. Tannins are fine and firm. (2020+)
