Pym-Rae 2017 – Napa Valley

The nose is fresh, fruity and offers concentration as well as a beautiful maturity. It reveals notes o cassis, blackberry and fine notes of berries, dry floor of local forest associated with discreets notes of tarweed, hints of flowers as well as fine touches of toasted, coffee, toasted almond and an imperceptible hint of coffee. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy and offers a beautiful definition, concentration, a good structure, freshness, an acid frame as well as power. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, ripe/crushed black berries and more slightly black cherry, ripe raspberry associated with fine touches of liquorice, small cooked black berries, cola, cocoa/tonka bean, subtle touches of sweet spices, coffee as well as a very discreet hint of almond and dry floor of local forest. Tannins are fine and slightly firm. Good length. There are hints of coffee and toasted almond/nut on the finish/persistence.
