Pusser’s Rum – Gunpowder Proof – Barbados

The nose is aromatic, quite powerful and relatively elegant. It reveals notes of candied lemon, candied mandarin and tangerine zests associated with slight notes of caramel, raisins, dried fruits, dates, slight notes of exotic wood as well as a hint of cedar, nutmeg and a discreet touch of liquorice. The palate is fruity, rich, relatively gourmand and offers suavity. In the mouth this Rum expresses notes of candied mandarin, candied lemon and fines notes of tarte Tatin associated with a discreet note of white fruits, a fine hint of caramel as well as slight notes of pâtisserie and discreet notes of oak (in the background). Good length and persistence.
