15% of the 2017 Syrah was kept in new French oak barrels, while the remaining 85% was kept in one and two-year-old French oak barrels for 15 months. This is a prime example of this varietal capacity in the valley. Tarragon, crushed red berries, forest floor, tobacco. It’s just so complex and seamless. It’s bold and full-bodied, yet silky at the same time.
