The nose picks up aromas of red fruits, black cherry and spices. The taste is ample and well-structured with fine and elegant tannins accompanying the full and enveloping sip. It closes with extreme persistence and a return of red fruits and spices.
The Plonerhof Winery, founded in 2004 by Erhard Tutzer, a nurseryman specialising in rooted vines, extends over 5 hectares of vineyards. Tutzer is an expert in Pinot Noir clones, so much so that he has experimented with more than a hundred of them, also in collaboration with the San Michele all’Adige Institute, although he mainly uses about twenty.
