The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity (even deep). The nose is gourmand, fruity and pleasant. It expresses notes of fleshy morello cherry, wild strawberry, candied red cherry, blueberry, raspberry coulis, as well as wild mint, smoke, white pepper, peony and violet, with a hint of chocolate in the background. On the palate, the wine is fleshy, fruity, even warming with a touch of macerated fruit. It expresses notes of red cherry in chocolate (with a hint of kirsch), morello cherry, fresh wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, red currant jelly, crushed raspberry and crème de cassis, combined with notes of minty chocolate, a touch of cinnamon, licorice, white pepper as well as slightly sweet floral notes (iris, peony),and a hint of smoke on the finish. The tannins have a fine texture, as well as good structure. The finish is persistent, gourmand and expresses notes of very ripe, even jammy, red fruits (griotte jam, fresh morello cherry) with a good level of acidity
