Philippe Pacalet 2020 – Echezeaux Grand Cru

Philippe Pacalet 2020 – Echezeaux Grand Cru

The nose is aromatic and offers elegance as well as a certain power in delicacy. It reveals notes of crushed raspberry, pulpy purple plum, and more slightly – notes of cornflower associated with fine touches of cherry blossom as well as a discreet almost vanilla hint. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, freshness, good definition, density, and a certain fleshiness/richness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy cherry, fleshy/juicy violet plum, and more slightly – notes of violet associated with touches of fleshy blackberry as well as slight hints of toasted almond and a discreet hint of chocolate. The tannins are soft. Some chewiness on a good finish/persistence. A certain richness on the persistence which offers gourmandize.
