Peteglia 2016 – Montecucco Sangiovese DOCG

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers freshness, a fine intensity, minerality as well as a very fine almost saline sensation. It reveals notes of ripe blackberry, ripe wild strawberry and small notes of ripe small red berries associated with fine touches of zan/liquorice stick, spices, very discreet hints of olive tree as well as subtle hints of mild tobacco and an imperceptible hint of caramelization. The palate is fruity, elegant and offers freshness, a good definition, gourmandize, a small richness, juiciness, an acidulous frame as well as a fine saline sensation. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/ripe cassis, fleshy/ripe wild strawberry and small notes of fleshy/juicy small red berries associated with fine touches of fleshy/ripe blackberry, fine hints of zan, liquorice stick as well as discreet hints of caramelization and chocolate. Very fine hints of dark chocolate on the finish/persistence as well as an imperceptible hint of hazelnut.
