Pedestal – Merlot 2013 – Columbia Valley, Washington

Pedestal – Merlot 2013 – Columbia Valley, Washington

The nose is fine. It reveals notes of cherry, black fruit and wild fruits associated with advanced Sichuan pepper and a discreet Ceylon tea key. The palate is fruity, mineral, racy and offers freshness, a nice density, harmony, good fineness of the grain and a certain tension. On the palate this wine shows notes of blackberry, cassis and small notes of chocolate / mocha and oak / grilled. The tannins are fine and well done. Good length and persistence.
