Pavillon rouge du Château Margaux 2017 – Margaux

The nose is elegant, fruity, racy, harmonious and offers a good definition as well as a very fine concentration. It reveals notes of fresh blackberry, strawberry, cherry and small notes of raspberry associated with fine touches of plum as well as very fine hints of cassis, liquorice, a subtle hint of cardamom and a very discreet hint of Sichuan pepper. The mouth is fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced and offers a good definition, gourmandize, a mineral frame as well as a good definition. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe cassis, juicy/ripe strawberry and small notes of raspberry associated with fine touches of blackberry, liquorice, tonka bean, fine hints of sweet spices, chocolate and an imperceptible hint of nutmeg / hazelnut. Tannins are elegant. Good length.
