Palladino – Riserva S. Bernardo 2012 – Barolo

The nose offers a small power, a fine grain and a fine intensity. It reveals notes of blackberry, undergrowth / mushroom and small notes of ripe plum associated with fine touches of dried strawberry, liquorice stick as well as very slight hints of spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy / mineral frame, tension, precision, elegance, a small gourmandise, a small richness, a fine grain, juiciness, freshness, suavity, roundness as well as a very slightly tight structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, very ripe wild strawberry and small notes of purple plum associated with touches of undergrowth / mushroom as well as very slight touches of flowers, chocolate, slight hints of graphite, cardamom, sweet spices and a very discreet salinity on the finish. Tannins are structuring.
