Montaribaldi – Barbaresco DOCG 2018 Palazzina, Neive

On the nose it is finely tight and offers a small power as well as a fine intensity. It reveals notes of pulpy blackberry, raspberry and slightly cornflower associated with touches of violet, oleander, sweet spices, liquorice as well as a discreet hint of sweet blond tobacco and vanilla. On the palate is balanced and offers a nice freshness, a nice minerality, energy, a certain volume as well as a certain finesse. The wine express the notes of luscious / juicy Boysenberry, raspberry and more slightly tangy / ripe red berries associated with hints of liquorice, lilac, oleander as well as fine points of laurel and a subtle hint of liquorice.
