Lucien Lardy – Les Thorins 2016 – Moulin-à-Vent

The nose is aromatic, powerful and racy. It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry and small notes of small wild berries associated with touches of cassis bud, Cuben pepper, spices and slight hints of grove. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy and offers a good definition, juiciness, suavity, a beautiful structure, a fine depthness as well as an acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crunchy / juicy red berries, blackberry and small notes of plum associated with fine touches of crunchy cassis, flowers (lilac, cornflowers) as well as hints of tonka bean on the finish / persistence. Tannins are fine, young and slightly firm. Good length.
