Le Merle Blanc de Château Clarke 2019 – Bordeaux Blanc

The nose is racy, fruity and precise. It reveals notes of fleshy apple, fresh/juicy pear and small notes of lemon associated with small touches of honeysuckle, racy minerality as well as a very discreet hint of fresh lemon flowers, an imperceptible hint of pepper and sweet spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, finely on the hold and offers a beautiful freshness, a small suavity, gourmandize as well as an acidulous frame, precision, a small fat and tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe lemon, granny smith apple and small notes of lemon zests associated with small touches of racy minerality, mandarin zests, lemon seed, white flowers as well as a very discreet hint of juicy kumquat, an imperceptible hint of honeysuckle and sweet spices/dry almond.
