Le Dragon de Quintus 2020, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

On the nose, fruity and offers good definition, freshness as well as a delicate floral side. It reveals notes of fresh boysenberry, lilac, violet and slight notes of fleshy strawberry along with touches of small bright / fresh berries, iris, fresh cherry as well as subtle hints of peony and spices.   On the palate, fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, smoothness, some roundness, fat, a slight airiness in character and a delicate creaminess.   The wine expresses notes of pulpy blackcurrant, bright boysenberry and more slightly blueberry along with touches of small red berries as well as hints of licorice, chocolate, vanilla, of fresh lilies, with subtle hints of cardamom and toast. The tannins are precise, fine and smooth.
