La Tour de By – Cuvée Héritage 2018 – Médoc

The nose is fruity, elegant, racy, well-built and offers power, a beautiful fine grain as well as intensity. It reveals notes of ripe wild blackberry, ripe wild strawberry and small notes of small pulpy blue fruits associated with small touches of grey pepper, iris as well as fine hints of toasted, almond, a hint of liquorice stick and an imperceptible hint of fresh mild tobacco. The palate is fruity, elegant, suave, beautifully defined and offers gourmandize, a justly built small richness, energy, minerality, a fine grain and a stretch/elanced side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright cassis and small notes of bright plum associated with small touches of raspberry as well as a hint of cherry blossom, violet, subtle hints of liquorice, chocolate, a hint of hazelnut and bourbon vanilla pod. Good length and persistence.
