La Mondotte 2018 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, aromatic and offers a beautiful racy minerality, power as well as a beautiful finesse of the power. It reveals notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, fleshy/fresh cassis and small notes of fleshy raspberry associated with touches of cherry, flowers, hints of spices, liqorice as well as discreet hints of pepper and chocolate. The palate is beautifully fruity, juicy and offers a very beautiful elegance, gourmandize, a beautiful race, a beautiful tension, a beautiful definition, a mineral frame, a beautiful precision, a melodious side as well as a beautiful ripe/juicy/crunchy fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fleshy blackberry, fleshy/juicy cassis and small notes of fleshy/juicy strawberry associated with a touch of blueberry, hints of flowers as well as very discreet hints of toasted, liquorice and an imperceptible hint of cardamom. There is an imperceptible varietal/flowery hint and a very fine grainy sensation on the persistence. A great wine !
