La Fleur Laroze 2016 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

La Fleur Laroze 2016 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity and offers a slight concentration. It reveals notes of blackberry, crushed cassis and small notes of ripe blue fruits associated with small touches of crushed strawberry as well as discreet hints of flowers, tonka beans, sweet spices / toasted hints and a discreet hint of gray pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a small tension, an acidulous frame, minerality, a small suavity as well as straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy / wild blackberry associated with a hint of raspberry, flowers, a toasted hint as well as discreet hints of vanilla and chocolate. Tannins are fine and slightly firm. The finish is slightly grainy. There are hints of chocolate powder on the finish as well as an imperceptible toasted hint / bitterness of cocoa on the persistence.
