La Devise de Lilian 2020 – Saint-Estèphe

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is fragrant and expresses distinct woody notes at the beginning. We find the aromas of toasted oak, toasted hazelnut, vanilla (in the background), licorice, associated with an elegant floral hint (violet, dried cornflower) and a beautiful fruity substance (wild strawberry, morello cherry, cherry jam). red, redcurrant jelly, crushed blackcurrant, wild blackberry), as well as a hint of pine needles and dried mint. The mouth is straight, fresh and chiseled. It expresses flavors of wild strawberry, blackcurrant, crushed blueberry, red cherry, raspberry coulis, as well as an integrated woody and spicy notes (licorice, grilled vanilla, nutmeg, toasted hazelnut in the background), combined with a touch of chocolate, dried mint, violet and licorice. The tannins are fine, very silky. The finish is gourmand, chocolatey and fruity, with a nice acidity. Good persistence, gourmandise and elegance. A fleshy, juicy wine, but already accessible.
