The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a fine richness/intensity. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, wild strawberry and small notes of cassis associated with touches of violet, Sichuan pepper, graphite as well as hints of mocha and cardamom. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, juicy and offers a good definition, a fine acidulous frame, tension as well as a good structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy Boysen berry, fleshy raspberry and more slightly small red berries/fleshy cherry associated with touches of liquorice, hints of flowers, toasted/vanilla as well as a hint of mocha (in the background) and a very discreet hint of cardamom. The persistence is gourmand and offers hints of chocolate, caramelization as well as a very discreet almost saline hint on the persistence.
