La Chapelle de La Mission Haut-Brion 2020 – Pessac-Léognan

Nice fruity, gormand, silky and harmonious nose. It reveals notes of pulpy blackcurrant, bright blackberry and slight notes of strawberry associated with touches of liquorice, violet, a subtle hint of eucalyptus as well as slight hints of mocha and a hint of toast. The palate is nicely led, silky, dynamic and offers freshness, energy, a pleasant acidulous frame, a fine straightness as well as a tension and airiness at the same time. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, crushed blackcurrant and slight notes of Morello cherry associated with touches of small acidulous red fruits as well as slight hints of violet, chocolate, toast/torrefaction and a hint of toasted almond. Salinity and sapidity. Pretty silky and rich texture on the palate. The tannins are soft. Very nice acidity!
