La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion 2019 – Pessac-Léognan

The nose is fruity, elegant, racy, nicely defined and offers harmony as well as a certain power. It reveals notes of creamy blackberry, small black fruits and more slightly pulpy redcurrants associated with violet, pepper, racy saline minerality as well as discreet hints of spice. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, elegance, roundness, fat, a nice mineral / delicately acidic frame, roundness, volume, harmony, a certain creaminess precisely, gourmandize as well as fullness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy blackberry, creamy raspberry and more slightly fleshy / crushed strawberry associated with crushed plum as well as hints of caramelization, toast, toasted hazelnut, chocolate and with a hint of Bourbon vanilla bean. Tannins are elegant and smooth. Nice persistence on hints of almond and chocolate.
