La Belle Anglaise 2020 – Châteaumeillant

La Belle Anglaise 2020 – Châteaumeillant

The wine has a pale ruby color with light garnet reflections. The nose is fragrant and offers precision, juiciness and freshness. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, morello cherry, red plum, wild black plum, crushed raspberry and blueberry, combined with touches of blackcurrant jam, dried mint, peony, wildflowers and cherry blossom, as well as very light notes of licorice and cherry in chocolate in the background. The palate is expressive, very fruity and offers well-structured tannins, which are slightly grippy in the mid-palate, but enveloped by a juicy fruity substance. It expresses the flavors of ripe morello cherry, red cherry jam, red currant jelly, sweet wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, as well as floral notes of dried rose, peony and a sweet touch of cherry in chocolate. The finish is gourmand, warm, a little jammy, but balanced by a good level of acidity. A fleshy and open wine
