Jean-Pierre Mortet – Les Héritages 2016 – Moulin-à-Vent 

The nose is aromatic and elegant. It reveals notes of blackberry, violet and small notes of wild strawberry, lilac associated with hints of sweet spices and gray pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well-built and offers a good definition, juiciness, suavity, a good structure, finesse as well as an acid frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, plum and small notes of cassis associated with touches of violet, lilac as well as discreet hints of blueberry, Zan, sweet spices, a very discreet hint of tobacco and an imperceptible hint of cocoa bean (in the background). Tannins are fine and very slightly mellow. Good length.
