Frédéric Mabileau Vigneron « Les Coutures » 2020 – Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is refined and offers delicacy and complexity. We find integrated notes of sweet spices (clove, nutmeg, a slight note of licorice), fresh tobacco, a discreet touch of undergrowth, dried flowers (rose, violet), dried mint, enveloped by fruity aromas of strawberry, driedred cherry, raspberry coulis, morello cherry, creamy blackcurrant, as well as light hints of toast and cocoa in the background, which appear after aeration. The attack on the palate is silky and fruity, supported by a firm tannin structure in the mid-palate. The wine expresses the flavors of wild strawberry, dried red cherry, fresh morello cherry, creamy blackcurrant, a delicate spiciness (clove, cumin, nutmeg), notes of dried flowers (rose petals, violet, lily) and a hint of fresh tobacco and hay inthe background. Beautiful acidity, the finish is persistent and gourmand.
