Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno –  Barolo DOCG 2017 Cannubi

The nose is fruity, elegant, aromatic and offers a little power and good definition. It reveals notes of luscious wild blackberries, wild red berries and slightly oleander associated with touches of bright cassis, lilac, rosemary, fine hints of sweet spices and a discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, freshness, delicacy as well as a certain intensity, controlled power. This wine expresses notes of pulpy / bright blackberry, violet and more slightly cornflower associated with touches of small purple plums, raspberry as well as hints of vanilla, lilac, nutmeg, with discreet hints. of toasted, toasted almond and cinnamon. Lamb’s lettuce, a nice sweetness and generosity at the end of the palate. The tannins are elegant, racy and mellow. Persistence with hints of dark chocolate and liquorice.
