Fontanaveccia – Vigna Cataratte 2018 – Aglianico del Taburno Riserva DOP

A pretty aromatic, complex nose, which offers a certain power and purity. It expresses the notes of bright currants, tangy/juicy red plum and small notes of rose associated with delicate hints almost mandarin/citrus, crushed black berries, balsamic and a subtle hint of camphor. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, an acid frame, minerality, energy, a certain purity, greediness, precision. It expresses the notes of luscious/juicy raspberry, juicy/fresh cherry and more lightly – bright/tangy wild berries, associated with touches of flowers, tangerine and a discreet hint almost zest in the background and balsamic. The tannins are sapid, well conducted and gourmand.
