Eos du Château de Lugagnac 2016 – Bordeaux Supérieur

The nose is fruity, gourmand and fleshy. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, plum and fresh/ripe wild strawberry associated with a hint of licorice, flowers (violet, cornflowerà as well as a hint of cardamom. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, frank, slightly tight and offers a nice minerality as well as a slight tension. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, fresh/ripe black cherry and a hint of fresh/ripe red fruits (raspberry, red berries) associated with a discreet hint of licorice, flowers and toasted oak/oak. Tannins are fine, relatively plentiful and very slightly dry. Good length. There are slight hints of mocha and persistence.
