Enrico Serafino – Roero Riserva DOCG 2009, Canale

Enrico Serafino – Roero Riserva DOCG 2009, Canale

The nose is aromatic with a certain elegance, some concentration and power. There are notes of crushed black berries, prunes and, to a lesser extent, cigars, combined with a touch of black pepper. The palate is discreetly sparkling (“perlante”) on the attack, energetic, with dynamism. There are notes of dried cherries, dried plums and, more slightly, blackberry, combined with hints of violet, tobacco and a touch of camphor, cardamom and graphite. There are discreet notes of fresh roast and a hint of dried bay leaves in the background. Astringent finish.
