Domaine Sergent – Eucalyptus 2014 – Madiran

The nose is aromatic, elegant and offers concentration, a fine power / structure as well as a slight richness. It reveals notes of cassis, blackberries and small notes of crushed blueberry associated with small touches of ripe red fruits, licorice, spices as well as a very discreet hint of Cuben pepper, flowers, undergrowth, cardamom and menthol. The palate is fruity, elegant, well-balanced, structured and offers a beautiful definition, a slightly acidulous frame, racy minerality, a small freshness, a beautiful finesse of the grain as well as a tannic and a bit tight structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberries, crushed cassis and small notes of small black berries, crushed raspberry associated with small toasted hints, cocoa, liquorice as well as very discreet hints of spices and an imperceptible hint of truffle (in the background). Tannins are elegant and structuring. A beautiful persistence. A beautiful wine!
