Domaine Sébastien Magnien – Clos de la Perrière 2019 – Bourgogne hautes-Côtes de Beaune

(tank sample) The nose is racy, all in elegance / precision, beautifully aromatic (aromatic power!) and offers finesse, precision as well as fine grain. It reveals notes of Boysenberry, bright blue plum and small notes of bright raspberry associated with touches of bright blue berries, cornflowers, hints of iris, Cuben pepper, licorice stick, discreet hints of racy minerality, spices, blond tobacco as well as an imperceptible hint of laurel and star anise. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful freshness, a beautiful suavity, a bright fruit, a small pulpiness, a fine fat, an acidulous frame, precision, a fine aerial side in the approach, a beautiful delicacy / complexity as well as richness in delicacy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright blackberry, bright blue plum and small notes of cornflowers associated with touches of cherry, beautiful touches of fresh flowers, hints of liquorice, chocolate, racy minerality as well as fine hints of Bourbon vanilla bean, a discreet hint of rose, iris, star anise and bay laurel. Tannins are elegant, racy and slightly mellow. Good length and persistence. The persistence is suave and offers a fine chewiness.
