Domaine Rijckaert – Les Bouthières 2015 Vieilles Vignes – Pouilly-Fuissé

The nose is fruity. The wine needs a lot to be put in carafe. It reveals notes of quince, zest and small notes of kumquat associated with a touch of crushed mirabelle plum, a touch of peach as well as discreet hints of fine minerality and an imperceptible hint of beeswax. The palate is fruity, suave, delicate, precise, racy, slightly concentrated / intense, well-balanced and offers gourmandise, a fine minerality, a very fine acid frame, a beautiful definition as well as a beautiful fat / roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed Brugnon, quince, crushed pear and small notes of vanilla associated with touches of mirabelle plum as well as discreet hints of ripe almond, beeswax and an imperceptible hint of zests. Good length and persistence. The persistence is quite gourmande.
