Domaine Pierre Martin 2016 – Sancerre

Domaine Pierre Martin 2016 – Sancerre

The nose is fruity and offers a nice structure, a slight intensity as well as a fine juiciness. The wine needs to be put in carafe. It reveals notes of cassis, blueberry and raspberry associated with small notes of flowers, a touch of spices as well as an imperceptible hint of pepper (after aeration). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy and offers a beautiful mineral frame, a slight acidity (in the background), a beautiful juiciness, suavity as well as tension. In the mouth this wine epresses notes of redcurrant jam, blueberry, fleshy wild strawberry and small notes of flowers associated with a touch of licorice and tobacco. Tannins are fine as well as a bit firm and young. Good length.
