Domaine Moissenet-Bonnard, Les Charmots 2020 – Pommard Premier Cru

The wine has a medium ruby colour. The nose offers concentration and a rich, ripe bouquet of red and black fruits. It expresses notes of Morello cherry, blue plum, blueberry, blackberry, blackcurrant and Morello cherry jam. There are also fresh notes of menthol, dried mint, liquorice, and a pleasant spiciness and torrefaction (coffee, toasted hazelnut, clove, nutmeg). On the palate, the wine offers depth, a firm tannic structure and a nice energy thanks to a lively acidity. It expresses fresh red and black fruit flavours (strawberry, red cherry, red currant, blueberry, blackcurrant), delicate herbaceous notes (blackcurrant leaf, fresh mint) and spice (liquorice, white pepper). The tannins give the wine a good hold – they are quite powerful and grippy, but wrapped and softened by a salivating acidity and a nice body. Good length, freshness and lots of fruit.
