Domaine Lippe Boileau 2019 – Gevrey-Chambertin

The nose is fruity and offers a brigth fruit as well as a good definition. It reveals notes of bright cherry, small black berries, small notes of violet plum associated with small touches of violet, lily as well as fine hints of nutmeg, zan and a very discreet hint of fresh mild tobacco. The palate is elegant, gourmand and offers suavity, a small roundness as well as an acidulous frame, a small freshness, precision and a very fine richness (in control). On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright black cherry, violet plum, small notes of raspberry associated with small touches of crushed redcurrant, violet, fresh mild tobacco as well as a subtle hint of cornflower, sweet spices, a discreet hint of vanilla pod (in the background). Good length and persistence. Tannins are precise, fine and supple.
